West Park Industrial Estate, Derrimut

WBCM Pty Ltd was engaged by Australand (Commercial and Industrial Division) in 2004 to provide engineering services for the development of this industrial site on an area of 84.3 ha to the north west of the Melbourne CBD.  Lot sizes range from 2,000 sq metres to 10 hectares.

This area was then extended by a further 84 hectares following further land acquisitions.

The location and topography of the site, with Laverton Creek and Kayes Drain running through the site and major roads on three sides, plus 1,600m of 500mm PE Water Distribtion Main for City West Water, has posed numerous design issues and has required ongoing liaison and negotiations with three Councils, VicRoads, Melbourne Water, service authorities and adjacent developers.

The majority of construction works for this development have now been completed, with Stage 9 internal works done and the Mt Derrimut Road duplication works for the 1,400 metres between Boundary Road and the Deer Park Bypass almost finalised.
