The estate borders Federation Trail and Skeleton Creek with access
from Forsyth Rd and when completed will provide approximately 450
residential allotments close to all amenities such as schools,
shopping centres, public transport, road and rail
infrastructure.
WBCM is providing urban infrastructure design, site supervision
and contract administration duties for the ongoing staged
developments. Elements have included roads (major and minor),
Council Drains, sewer reticulation, water reticulation, electrical,
gas and telecommunication infrastructure. Major infrastructure in
the form of overhead High Voltage Electrical Powerlines have been
decommissioned and located underground to release more land for
residential lots and community purposes.
The extremely flat nature of the site required special
consideration to be given to overland flow paths within the estate
and the grading of roads to reduce filling of allotments to
absolute minimum levels. The overland flow paths were
modelled using HEC RAS software to determine the top flood
level.
Traffic calming measures in the form of special intersection
treatments have been adopted throughout the estate to slow down
traffic.
